- The tragedy which took place at the Hussaini Islamic Centre in Orlando, Florida.
- Br. Mohammed At-Taee, of Iraqi origin, worked a caretaker for the centre, and when he come to the centre in yesterday morning, he was confronted by a person who had broken into the centre at the night time. - This person repeatedly attacked the caretaker with a spade and killed him
- The murderer of Egyptian origin posted a manifesto on social media, and is considered to be mentally unstable. Facts and the investigation are still unfolding at this time
- He saved lives by fighting off the intruder, preventing the murder of children in the daycare, and others
- We as a Muslim community feel the pain of our fellow Muslim centres that go through such tragedies, having similar incidents over the years
- A reminder that Muslim organizations need to be vigilant and have security arrangements for our centres, more so when children are involved.
- This is not only here in a non-Muslim community. Look at Muslim countries, especially where Shi‘as are targetted by the extremists whether in form of Salafism or ISIS
- Discussing a passage from Dua #40 of Sahifa as-Sajjadiyyah, regarding death
